Privately Guided Courses and Coached Camps for July 2011

Spring is maybe, just maybe, hopefully hopefully hopefully around the corner if not actually here. Time to let people know about some upcoming guiding dates which might prove useful and interesting. Here is a line up of instructional courses and coached climbing camps that will be happening throughout July. If you’re interested in a privately guided ascent, an instructional course or technique camp please email me at jerblumel@gmail.com. Here are a few dates below for July…

July 9th/10th – Crack Technique Camp $275/person – A two day Tour de Force of shoving our hands and feet into cracks, exploring the intricacies of crack climbing techniques. Expect all the sizes, from classic Squamish tips to some basic Offwidth skillslike hand stacking. Saturday evening BBQ – Mexican style. Spicey Mate!

July 16th and 17th – I’ll be teaching Sport Climbing and Advanced Trad Climbing Clinics at the Squamish Mountain Festival – http://squamishmountainfest.com/ These clinics are a GREAT deal and the fest is a great way to get more connected into the climbing community here in Squamish.

July 30th and 31st – Crack Technique Camp $275/person – A two day Tour de Force of shoving our hands and feet into cracks, exploring the intricacies of crack climbing techniques. Expect all the sizes, from classic Squamish tips to some basic Offwidth skillslike hand stacking. Saturday evening BBQ – Mexican style. Spicy Mate!

July Evening Sessions – $150/person – Take advantage of the long evenings right now and come up to Squamish for 4:30 or 5pm and climb until dark. The crags are empty, the walls are smooth sailing and it’s a great time to fit in some climbing or crack technique work after a day at work. Mid week and weekends until the light fades to black.
